Dr. Nicole Dołowy-Rybińska

    An anthropologist and sociolinguist, Dr. Dołowy-Rybińska holds a PhD in cultural studies, and is assistant professor at the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. Her research has been supported by UNESCO (2006), Foundation for the Polish Science (2010), National Science Center (2011-2014), and Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2012-2015). Her fieldwork concerns minority languages (transmission and ethnolinguistic vitality) and minorities’ identity (creation and discursive representations). She is interested in Poland’s multicultural past and in the protection of minorities and minority languages in the contemporary Poland and Europe.
