TOUR TERMS & CONDITIONS
This is very important information, so please carefully review these Terms and Conditions, before making your reservation. By making a reservation with Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland Foundation, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland Foundation
Taube Center is an educational NGO institution, dedicated to the shared mission of intercultural learning and promoting of Jewish heritage in Poland. Taube Center operates its Taube Jewish Heritage Tours heritage travel program in Poland and Eastern Europe. Taube Center represents that it has the skills and personnel required to provide the relevant services.
This document outlines what Taube Jewish Heritage Tours, (tour program of Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland Foundation, based: Tlomackie ⅗ street, 00-090 Warsaw, Poland, tax ID: PL5252457055) agrees to provide when you, (the Client) sign up for a tour, and what you agree to do in return (“Tour Conditions”). TJHT provides land-only tour services.
This is very important information, so please carefully review these Terms and Conditions, before making your payment. By paying the tour fee to TJHT, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total fee is required at the time of signing up for the tour. The deposit, which forms a part of the total fee, will be deducted on the final invoice.

All payments are accepted in Polish currency (PLN – Polish Zloty). The price in USD is presented only for orientation purposes and may vary depending on the exchange rate and bank spread. All listed prices are per person and based upon double occupancy. For participants choosing single rooms, single supplement will apply. All our prices (listed on our website and promotional materials: electronic and printed hardcopies) and for our custom tailored programs are based on tariffs effective on date of printing. In case of currency fluctuation of more than 3% or amendments in local government taxes, we will adjust pricing accordingly in order to be able to operate the tour. If the full amount is not paid during registration process, final payment is due 90 days prior to the departure of the tour (March 25, 2018). The registration fee will be deducted on the invoice. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if final payment is not timely received and impose the published cancellation fees. Cancellation fees may appear.

If you prefer to pay via credit card, please chose this option when registering.
Cancellation and Refund
The Participant can withdraw from the contract at any time. All cancellation must be sent in writing to:
Your deposit is 100% refundable for 14 days from the date it is received, but no later than 136 days before the tour starts.
In case of cancellation, the Participant shall be reimbursed less the following lump sum cost, referring to the total tour fee and standard average amounts of deductions based on the actual costs incurred:
a) 10% of the value of the canceled tour (the deposit) – for 136-90 days before the start of the tour,
b) 30% of the value of the canceled tour – for 89-60 days before the start of the tour,
c) 50 % of the value of the canceled tour – for 59-21 days before the start of the tour,
d) 100 % of the value of the canceled tour – for less than 21 days before the start of the tour.
Please note, other suppliers such as airlines might impose additional cancellation fees. All cancellation must be sent in writing to:
Itineraries are subject to change. TJHT needs to be flexible enough to take advantage of whatever comes along so that we may provide you with the best possible tour. Uncompleted portions of the tour itinerary are not cause for refund. Participants requiring individual travel arrangements in conjunction with this tour must announce this as early as possible to:
Individual arrangements can be made pre or post the tour. For any change made 90 days or less prior to the tour, a service fee of $100 per person will be charged by the travel agency. All expenses involved with individual travel arrangements will be carried by the individual traveller.
Breakfasts are served buffet-style at the hotels. Other meals are served at restaurants or at the hotels, and are based upon set menus (no pork, no shellfish). However, options are provided for participants requiring special meals such as a kosher, vegetarian, or fish option. Lunches will be based upon a single course with coffee/tea or as a boxed lunch. Dinners will include a cover charge for bread, water, a soft drink, coffee or tea is included, and 1 glass of wine per person is included.
Minimum Number of Participants
The minimum number of participants is 18 and the maximum is 20. In the event the required number has not been reached, the tour can be canceled. Should this occur, TJHT will refund your deposit and payment in full.
TJHT will issue a payment confirmation for each and every payment made.
We welcome feedback from our participants. Should you have a complaint on TJHT, you should inform your Tour Coordinator during the course of the tour and if the matter cannot be resolved after our representative’s best endeavors to do so during the tour, your complaint should be made in writing to the TJHT at firstname.lastname@example.org.
TJHT offers complimentary transfers on the listed arrival and departure dates. These are October 11 and October 21, 2019. For pre-tour arrivals or post-tour departures, individual transfers can be arranged and must be paid by the individual participants.
“No Show” Policy
In case of “no show” of a participant, who is covered by a host institution, due to any reason, the host institution will not be reimbursed by TJHT if the participant is a “no show” or if the participant cancels her/his arrival for less than 8 days prior to the start of the tour.
Travel Protection Plan & Medical Insurance
Please note that individual Travel Insurance is not included in the tour price and all medical costs and other costs involved must be paid by the participant. Therefore, we strongly recommend to all of our participants to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure to meet any contingencies.
We strongly recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance and Medical Insurance to protect your trip investment and yourself while traveling.
Please note that Travel insurance providers have different rules regarding coverage and how pre-existing conditions can be waived. It is up to the individual traveler to obtain the rules for all policies.

Passport and Visa
Each participant must possess a valid passport. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the tour has been completed. However, residents of Australia must obtain a visa. Visas can be given upon entry at major airports, but not at the border crossings from Poland. If you are traveling from a country different than the above, please inquire whether a visa is needed.
Baggage Handling/Lost or Damaged Baggage
Participant will be allowed check-in and hand- carry luggage according to the respective airlines’ regulations. Excess baggage must be paid locally by the participant. TJHT will not be responsible for the loss, damage or theft of any item(s) belonging to a participant throughout the duration of the tour.
Will be provided in accordance with the itinerary or similar. TJHT reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of equal standard. There will be no refunds for any difference in the cost of those accommodations. All rooms are standard twin-bedded/double rooms with private facilities, unless you have specifically requested and paid for an upgraded room category. Special requests such as bed types, smoking preference, and connecting rooms are subject to availability. Room selection in all cases, unless otherwise reserved, is strictly at the discretion of the hotel’s management on a run-of-house basis. Triple rooms consist of standard twin beds plus a sofa/folding bed or cot for third person. The number of persons accommodated does not dictate the room size. All hotel rates are based on Taube Jewish Heritage Tours agreements with its suppliers and are not negotiable. Hotel check-in time is generally not before 3:00 PM and check-out time is prior to 12:00 PM. Early check-ins are available on request at:
General Data Protection Regulation
Pursuant to Article 7(1) of GDPR I represent that I consent to the processing by the Controller, i.e. the Foundation Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland(ul. Tłomackie 3/5, 00-090 Warsaw), of my personal data provided in documents necessary for the purpose of preparation and implementation of tourist and education programmes organised by the Controller. Moreover, I consent to the processing of the abovementioned personal data by automated means, including by profiling. The above consent was given freely in accordance with Article 4(11) of GDPR. I consent to the use of my personal data for promotional and marketing purposes related to the programmes organised by the Foundation Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland (ul. Tłomackie 3/5, 00-090 Warsaw).
Disclaimer of Liability
The Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland (hereinafter “Tour Service Provider”) and/or its representatives shall act only as independent contractors for various suppliers of services in connection with its tours in making arrangements for accommodations, transportation, meals, or any other tour or guest service, and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, inconvenience, expense, damage or loss of property, death, cancellation, change in itinerary, accident, irregularity or delay due to an act of negligence of, or default of, any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by an act of God.
Further, the Tour Service Provider is not responsible for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or any other causes. No responsibility shall be incurred for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or other acts of any government or other authority. The airline, steamship and railroad companies concerned are not responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract issued by the airlines, steamship and railroad companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between such companies, and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers.
The Tour Service Provider is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to baggage.
The right is reserved to withdraw any tour listed herein, and/or to make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable for the convenience, comfort and/or welfare of the parties and the integrity of the tour, without any penalty to the Tour Service Provider. Additional expenses, if any, will be borne by the participant. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to revise the routing of the itinerary. If due to such circumstances a change becomes necessary in the sole opinion of the Tour Service Provider, hotels substituted shall be of the same quality as those listed in the itinerary. The Tour Service Provider assumes no financial liability for any resulting losses, expenses, or inconvenience. No refunds will be made for portions of transport, tours, rooms, or meals, and no credit can be allowed for unused accommodation.
The full cost of the tour will be refunded, however, if the entire tour is canceled by the Tour Service Provider prior to the published departure date (additional transaction fee may occur). Unless otherwise noted, all prices are per person, based on double occupancy (two persons sharing a hotel room); single supplement noted. Prices are based on rates in effect (including foreign exchange rates) at the time of printing and are thus subject to increase or decrease without notice.

For medical information, call the Public Health Service (404) 332-4559. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of such risks and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Traveller’s retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.
We reserve the right to change, amend, insert or delete any of these Terms and Conditions, or policies contained therein, from time to time. The latest copy of these Terms and Conditions is maintained and made available on our website. Participants are responsible for periodically checking our website to update themselves on the latest Terms and Conditions.
