TAUBE JEWISH HERITAGE TOURS (TJHT) TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

This document outlines what Taube Jewish Heritage Tours, (tour program of Fundacja Centrum Taubego Odnowy Życia Żydowskiego w Polsce/Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland Foundation (hereinafter “the Taube Center”),

agrees to provide when you, (“the Participant(s)”) sign up for a tour, and what you agree to do in return (“Tour Conditions”). TJHT provides land-only tour services.

This is very important information, so please carefully review these Terms and Conditions, before making your reservation. By making a reservation with the Taube Center, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

TOUR CONDITIONS

To reserve a seat on tour you must agree to these Tour Conditions and provide us with a deposit in the amount as provided in the tour offer. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express for all tour payments. This deposit will form part of Participant’s final payment. You will be notified should a higher deposit be required for your specific booking. The Taube Center accepts payments only in Polish zloty (PLN) for the tours.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Your tour deposit is 100% refundable for 30 days from the date it is received, unless noted otherwise below. After 30 days your deposit becomes non-refundable, and will be forfeited should you decide to cancel your reservation. Deposits made 60–90 days before a tour departs become non-refundable on the final payment due date. If you book a tour less than 60 days before its departure date, the entire tour cost becomes non-refundable after 7 days. Cancellations must be in writing: sent via email to:

Cancellations become effective on the date received by the Taube Center.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS*

 

*Please note that the Taube Center reserves the right to change the terms of cancellation dates in the specific offer, which information will be included into the offer, simultaneously excluding provisions of this paragraph.

 

The Participant shall bear the following costs referring to event or group reservation in case of decrease or an entire cancellation:

  1. a) no charge – for 60 or more days before the group’s arrival,
  2. b) 30% of the value of the cancelled reservation – for 46-59 days before the group ‘s arrival,
  3. c) 50% of the value of the cancelled reservation – for 31-45 days before the group’s arrival,
  4. d) 80% of the value of the cancelled reservation – for 14-30 days before the group’s arrival,
  5. e) 100% of the value of the cancelled reservation – for less than 14 days before the group’s arrival.

 

If any of the reserved rooms are not used without a prior cancellation, the Participants shall be charged 100% of the entire value of the reservation.

Cancellation of reservation is legally valid only in written form from participant’s (e-mail) with acknowledged receipt of the Taube Center to:

CHANGES

Itineraries are subject to change. The Taube Center needs to be flexible enough to take advantage of whatever comes along so that we may provide you with the best possible tour. Uncompleted portions of the tour itinerary are not cause for refund. Participants requiring individual travel arrangements in conjunction with this tour must announce this as early as possible to: tours[at]taubejewishheritagetours.com

Individual arrangements can be made pre- or post the tour. For any change made 90 days or less prior to the tour, a service fee of $100 per person may be charged by the Taube Center. All expenses involved with individual travel arrangements will be carried by the individual traveler.

The Taube Center will issue a detailed receipt for each and every payment made.

FEEDBACK POLICY

We welcome feedback from our participants. Should you have a complaint on the Taube Center, you should inform your Tour Coordinator during the course of the tour and if matter cannot be resolved after our representative’s best endeavors to do so during the tour, your complaint should be made in writing to the the Taube Center at:

“NO SHOW” POLICY

In case of “no show” of a participant, who is covered by a host institution, due to any reason, the host institution will not be reimbursed by the Taube Center if the participant is a “no show” or if the participant cancels her/his arrival for less than 14 days prior to the start of the tour.

BAGGAGE HANDLING/LOST OR DAMAGED BAGGAGE

Participant will be allowed check-in and hand- carry luggage according to the respective airlines’ regulations. Excess baggage must be paid locally by the participant. The Taube Center will not be responsible for the loss, damage or theft of any item(s) belonging to a participant throughout the duration of the tour.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

The Taube Center offers complimentary transfers on the listed arrival and departure dates. For pre-tour arrivals or post-tour departures, individual transfers can be arranged and must be paid by the individual participants.

TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN AND MEDICAL INSURANCE

Please note that individual Travel Insurance is not included in the tour price and all medical costs and other costs involved must be paid by the participant. Therefore, we strongly recommend to all of our participants to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure to meet any contingencies.

We strongly recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance and Medical Insurance to protect your trip investment and yourself while traveling.

Please note that Travel insurance providers have different rules regarding coverage and how pre-existing conditions can be waived. It is up to the individual traveler to obtain the rules for all policies]

PASSPORT AND VISA

No visa is required for this departure. Each participant must possess a valid U.S. passport. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the tour has been completed. For travelers not carrying a U.S. passport, we recommend they check if a visa is required for travel to Poland.

Each host institution or private participant is obligated to provide the Taube Center no less than 59 days before the group’s/participant’s arrival, with the following participants’ information:

  • First Name

  • Street Address

  • Allergies
  • Dietary Restrictions
  • Flight Number to Poland (arrival)
  • Flight Number from Poland (departure)
  • Insurance number
  • Emergency contact

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

The Taube Center and/or its representatives shall act only as independent contractors for various suppliers of services in connection with its tours in making arrangements for accommodations, transportation, meals, or any other tour or guest service, and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, inconvenience, expense, damage or loss of property, death, cancellation, change in itinerary, accident, irregularity or delay due to an act of negligence of, or default of, any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by an act of God.

Further, the Taube Center is not responsible for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or any other causes. No responsibility shall be incurred for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or other acts of any government or other authority. The airline, steamship and railroad companies concerned are not responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract issued by the airlines, steamship and railroad companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between such companies, and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers.

The Taube Center is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to baggage. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour listed herein, and/or to make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable for the convenience, comfort and/or welfare of the parties and the integrity of the tour, without any penalty to the Taube Center. Additional expenses, if any, will be borne by the participant. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to revise the routing of the itinerary. If due to such circumstances a change becomes necessary in the sole opinion of the Taube Center, hotels substituted shall be of the same quality as those listed in the itinerary. The Taube Center assumes no financial liability for any resulting losses, expenses, or inconvenience. No refunds will be made for portions of transport, tours, rooms, or meals, and no credit can be allowed for unused accommodation.

The full cost of the tour will be refunded, however, if the entire tour is cancelled by the Taube Center prior to the published departure date (additional transaction fee may occur).

Unless otherwise noted, all prices provided in tour offers are per person, based on double occupancy (two persons sharing a hotel room); single supplement noted. Prices are based on rates in effect (including foreign exchange rates) at the time of printing and are thus subject to increase or decrease without notice. For medical information, call the Public Health Service (404) 332-4559. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of such risks, and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Traveler’s retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.

MISCELLANEOUS

We reserve the right to change, amend, insert or delete any of these Terms and Conditions, or policies contained therein, from time to time. The latest copy of these Terms and Conditions is maintained and made available on our website. Participants are responsible for periodically checking our website to update themselves on the latest Terms and Conditions.
